Cancellations and refunds

Last updated 10 August 2026

Cancelling takes one click from your billing settings. No phone call, no email, no offers to sit through.

How to cancel

Go to Settings → Billing and choose Cancel subscription. One confirmation step and nothing else. It is recorded immediately: you do not need to do anything further, and your access runs to the end of the period you have paid for.

Cancelling is deliberately no harder than subscribing. There is no retention flow, no required survey, and no requirement to contact anyone. If you ever find you cannot cancel from that page, email support@investailor.com and we will treat it as cancelled from the date you wrote.

What happens when you cancel

  • Your next payment is not taken.
  • You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not cut you off mid-month.
  • At the end of that period your account moves to the free plan.
  • Nothing is deleted. Your holdings, notes and history stay exactly as they are. If your portfolio is larger than the free plan holds, the extra positions become read-only rather than being removed, and they return in full if you subscribe again.
  • You can undo a cancellation at any time before the period ends, from the same page.

Refunds

Subscriptions are sold by Paddle as merchant of record, so Paddle issues any refund and it returns by the route you paid. You do not need to contact Paddle yourself: ask us, and we instruct them. The policy below is what we apply.

Subscriptions are billed in advance, and cancelling stops future charges rather than refunding the current period: you keep the access you paid for until it ends.

We do refund, without argument, when:

  • You were charged after cancelling. Refunded in full.
  • A trial converted and you had not used the service. If you were charged at the end of a trial and had not used a paid feature since, tell us within 14 days and we will refund it in full.
  • We materially reduced what your plan includes, or discontinued the service. Refunded pro rata for the unused part of the period.
  • The service was substantially unavailable for a meaningful part of a period. Refunded pro rata.
  • The charge was a duplicate or a mistake. Refunded in full.

Outside those cases, ask anyway: support@investailor.com. A plan that turned out not to suit you is a reasonable thing to raise, and we would rather settle it than keep money from someone who feels badly treated.

Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually take five to ten business days to appear. They may show as coming from Paddle rather than from us, for the same reason the original charge did.

Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page limits rights you have under consumer law where you live, including, in the UK and EU, a 14-day right to cancel a distance purchase, and any statutory right to a remedy where a service is not as described. Where those rights are more generous than this policy, they apply.

Trials

A trial requires a payment method and converts to a paid subscription when it ends, at the price shown before you started it. Cancel any time during the trial and you are not charged: one click, from the same billing page, and you keep the trial until its last day.

The renewal date and the exact amount are shown before the trial starts and again on your billing settings page at any time. And if a trial converts and you had not used a paid feature since, we refund it in full (see above); that is deliberately more generous than relying on you to remember a date.
